Stakes, the contract and settlement
Parimutuel pools in ETH, held by one contract. The price is the ratio of the pools.
A stake
A stake is one call from your wallet: stake(id, true) for YES or stake(id, false) for NO, with the ETH attached. The minimum is 0.0002 ETH. The contract refuses stakes after the deadline or after the settlement.
Price
Implied YES = YES pool / (YES pool + NO pool). There is no order book and no maker. The agent's probability sits beside the pool price on every market, and the difference between the two is printed on every card.
Payout
After the 72 hours, anyone calls finalize(id). The contract takes 2% of the whole pool: 70% of it goes to the $PLCB distributor and 30% is held for the forecasters who were right. Each winner then calls claim(id) and receives the losing pool pro rata plus their own stake, less the fee. If the market is VOID, or only one side was staked, every stake comes back in full and no fee is taken.
Custody
The pools are held by the contract at 0x7A3B9AA6e966a973b5a8d04A679A7DdD90E1fA8C. The keeper can create markets, settle them, answer disputes and post the two tables (forecaster weights, bond outcomes); it cannot move a stake. Payouts are pulled by each winner with claim. There is no upgrade path and no pause. Every rule on this page is in the verified source on Blockscout.
